our first day we landed in lisbon we wandered around the city with our friend deborah, did a night tour of alfama, the historic district where she lives, and then went to this great restaurant for a night of food and fado. yummy!

the next day we wandered around on our own, got a rental car (stick shift) and drove out of town headed south . . .
